You have your own website, but it doesn't seem to be lively enough? No likes or comments? It doesn't seem to bring you anything? Not even new customers? Yet, when you created it, you wanted it to bring you customers. Don't worry, it's not too late yet, you can still attract customers thanks to CTAs!
You need to adopt an inbound marketing strategy. It consists of seducing and convincing visitors to become prospects! Hence the use of CTAs. What is it exactly?
In French, they are translated as calls to action. They often take on a visual form. When you design your site, you need to place them in strategic locations. They will also guide your visitors along the way.
Provided you use them effectively, these CTAs actually encourage visitors to perform a specific action, for example: navigate to the landing page. Now, in turn, this page will convince the visitor to :
- Proceed to the purchase of your services
- Fill out a form (whether to request information or otherwise)
- Subscribe to your newsletter
- Upload a file (a case study, a white paper, a computer graphics, a tutorial, etc...)
- Watch your videos
- Share your website or one of your blog's articles on social networks
But how do you make your CTAs work?
You need a CTA in the right place
You want your potential client to use your service? In that case, you need to put the CTA where he or she will be in the best frame of mind to decide. Maybe it's after a paragraph that talks about the advantages of using your webdesign services?
Another idea is to put it after a small paragraph that explains why a certain problem (related to its needs) needs to be solved urgently.
There is a Youtube video in which I describe this at the bottom of the article. Support me by subscting to the YouTube channel "Happy Desk Design"
You need a well-formulated CTA
In order to attract customers in the right way with CTAs, be sure to formulate your formulations carefully. Avoid generic words such as "submit" or "read more" at all costs.
Remember that each word should provide added value for your readers. They must have a good reason for clicking on your CTAs. Address them directly. Use pronouns like "you" (depending on your targets, of course).
You need a well-dressed CTA
Always with the aim of attracting customers through CTAs, pay attention to their styles: text, image, colour, button size (if it is a button), etc.
When creating a website (for you or your clients), pay particular attention to CTAs. As I have explained, you can attract customers thanks to CTAs. Be careful, however, your CTA must be tailored to your targets. What kind of clients are you really targeting?
