Chat software, what is it?
If you install some on your site, you will be able to have a direct discussion with your prospects. Indeed, they will see a chat icon on their user interface. In most cases, this icon is placed at the bottom (right or left).
It also appears on all media (from smartphones to desktop screens and tablets; in short, on all screen sizes). In fact, I think you've already had opportunities to use it on other websites.
What are the advantages of setting up chat software on a site?
1. Thanks to the cat, you increase your sales
A study conducted by the American Marketing Association has indeed shown that a conversion of more than 20% is observed on sites that have integrated a chat system. What specifically could explain this growth?
On the one hand, your customers and prospects trust you more because you answer their requests instantly via the chat software. If they are quite satisfied with the results they have obtained, there is a good chance that they will buy your services (or products) right away.
Secondly, you can take the opportunity to address your promotional offers directly to your contacts; and this is more effective than addressing them to several groups of people.
2. You will have a high return on investment with Help Scout.
Using chat software won't cost you a lot of money. On the contrary, their prices are generally affordable. However, as I just explained earlier, you will have a significant return on investment (this is true for Help Scout). Be patient, I'll show you later how to add Help Scout to Webflow.
Compared to telephone services, you also save 50% (which is not a small amount).
3. You provide more convenience to your site visitors.
In other words, you save your clients and prospects from stress. Let's face it, talking on the phone about a potential problem is still quite stressful, especially since the person you're talking to is a complete stranger! Luckily for those who need you, they will be able to contact you directly via chat.
4. Take this opportunity to create a FAQ
From all the questions you have been asked via the chat software (especially the most frequent ones), I advise you to create an FAQ. You make it easy for yourself, but also for the visitors of the site! It will be a real time saver.
5. You build customer loyalty with Help Scout
Since they are satisfied with the speed of their answers as well as their quality, be sure of one thing: they will be more loyal to you. One study even proved that the level of customer satisfaction with chat software is 73%, while it is only 61% for email and 44% for phone.
How does Help Scout work?
I told you about the icon earlier. Every chat program, including Help Scout, has them. Once you've successfully added Help Scout to Webflow, this icon is visible on the user interface. So the user just clicks on it, and a window appears. It looks just like a social network messaging application.
However, chat software does not totally resemble social network systems such as messenger, WhatsApp... The latter are said to be asynchronous (are independent of websites) while website chat software is not. Their functioning depends entirely on the site in question, and therefore they are asynchronous.
When to use chat systems?
If you have a website and you offer services or products on it, I advise you to install a chat software on it. The same for your customers, don't hesitate to propose them to set up a chat system on their website.
Above all, if you are targeting young people (or if your customers are targeting young consumers), you need to know this: 56% of the people who gave their opinion on their satisfaction are young people (between 18 and 34 years old). They make the least effort to contact the site owner, yet they want some semblance of a close, personal relationship.
So all that's left to do is add Help Scout to Webflow. But in what way?
What is the best chat software for webflow website?
I know several of them, but the one I use the most is Help Scout (that's why I've been talking about it all along this article). I highly recommend it! It even offers a 30-day free trial if you're interested. :)
I particularly like it for its ease of use. In just a few clicks, you will be able to integrate it on all the pages of your website. However, this simplicity does not exclude the fact that Help Scout must be :
- Suitable for startup
You will not be able to be logged on to the site forever (unless you hire more than one person to make your customer service available 24 hours a day). In this case, Help Scout allows visitors to leave their email.
What are the steps to add Help Scout to Webflow?
First, you need to create an account on Help Scout. Then, log in. On your dashboard, you will have access to different tabs. This will be the first one we're interested in: Mailboxes. Put your cursor on it, and sub-menus will appear. Then click on "add mailbox". Give it a name. Finally, to have an overview of the requests of your customers and prospects, click on open mailbox.
Under the last tab "Manage", click on "Beacons" to create the icon itself. You will then be able to choose its colors, its shape... So all you have to do is to integrate it, and for that, click on "next". A long code will be given to you. Then click on copy, and that's it ! But where are you going to copy it?
There is a Youtube video in which I describe this at the bottom of the article. Support me by subscting to the YouTube channel "Happy Desk Design"
That's where you go on Webflow, in:
- Project Settings
- Custom code
- Paste the code into the part <head>
Having chat software on your website has so many benefits, except for increased sales, skyrocketing ROI and customer loyalty. Help Scout is one such software, but it stands out above all for its simplicity and the fact that it can easily integrate with Webflow.
